Flash! More Westport Halibut! As of May 7, the State Fisheries Department, in an ongoing and highly-successful effort to force everyone to make last-minute arrangements, has yet again changed the Halibut schedule. We are now allowed to book trips for May 11 AND May 13. On May 13th, there will be an assessment to determine if quota has been reached. We very much apologize for the inability to provide greater advanced warning, but will take everyone we possibly can. Call now to get in on one of these days. It's worth it! Northern Halibut Opportunity! Due to the high demand and low quotas, we are arranging for one of our boats, the Ranger, to head up the coast and fish the LaPush, Washington halibut season. The three days for LaPush are May 13, 15, and 17. If you can't make Westport's season, give us a call and we'll set you up for a north-coast trip on the Ranger!Early Salmon Season - Special prices! Great news! Chinook-only Salmon Season opens June 1st! As in past years, the fishery will be Sunday through Thursday only, and from June 1 through June 26, there is a limit of one fish per person, and it must be a Chinook. And we're offering a discount on the one-fish-limit trips! Check out our Prices page for details. Starting Sunday, June 29th, we will revert to the two-fish limit, only one of which may be a Chinook. All Coho must be hatchery fish, with the adipose fin clipped. Any Chinook left over from the June Chinook only fishery will be rolled into the July fishery. Motel Packages Now Available Ocean Charters now has a partnership with one of our local motels, and we can offer you a fishing/motel package that makes it convenient for you and saves a couple of bucks too. New Location We purchased of one of the nicest buildings on the dock front in November and are now moved in. The building is located across from float 14, down closer to the jetty. Same great boats and skippers, and now a bigger office to serve you! We'll have the same email and phone numbers too so you don't have to change your phone book! Espresso Check-in No, not express check in, Espresso while you check in! Ingrid's Cafe Stuga, a Swedish-style Espresso shop, is also moving into our new building, and it will be open when the office is, so you can really get that caffeine rush going in style. Box Lunches? Due to numerous requests, we are in the process of arranging for box lunches to be made available to our customers. We hope to have the details worked out by around the middle of February. If we can make all the arrangements to the satisfaction of the Health Department, you will be able to pre-order a lunch and pick it up when you check in!
