After hauling it in a wheelbarrow up to the Westport Derby Booth weigh station, it took three guys to get it onto the weigh hook. Ocean Charters is proud to announce the purchase and arrival of TWO new boats to our fleet this season. On June 27th, the Rock-N-Roll heads into the harbor. She's a 32 foot aluminum six-pack charter boat that can put you first on the fish with a cruising speed of 20 knots and a top speed over 30 knots.  She is twin-diesel powered (counter-rotating props) with enclosed cabin, full walk-around deck, private restroom, microwave and refrigerator.  Twin electric downriggers provide deep trolling for Chinook.  If you're looking for a premier private charter for a small group, give us a call!!!

On June 28th, the Happy Hooker, a 53-foot Little Hoquiam hull boat heads up from Sea Sport Charters in Ilwaco to join the Ocean Charters fleet to help us out with albacore tuna and Sunday salmon fishing. This boat was originally the Blitz when she fished out of Westport back In The Day. Now Ocean Charters will have FOUR full-time tuna boats in its fleet!

The 2009 Bottom Fishing Season is Open Now!

Running seven days a week and costing a mere $92 per person, bottom fishing is the ONLY way to go for many of our anglers. Your limit is TEN sea bass and two lings; if you limit out you go home with a pile of 24 fillets!!!! Holy Fishing Pile, Batman!!!! We fish the rock pinnacles lining our coast from outside Grays Harbor north to Sonora Reef (vicinity of Iron Springs). It's a beautiful day of fishing where the coastline is always in sight: a great first-time trip for young or inexperienced anglers, too.

Wow! Thanks for your continued business: although many of our trips are full, we do still have a few openings on our trips this summer. We have four full-time boats running tuna trips for Ocean Charters: the Lucky Pierre, the Ranger, the Neddie Rose and Happy Hooker. Trips run mid-July thru the end of September.
