Ocean Charters doesn't just take people out fishing. We are a full-service charter boat office, so we can and do accommodate all sorts of special requests. In addition to the "standard" services below, we will accommodate just about any request that involves people in boats on the ocean. Prices vary depending on the length of the trip, number of people, and additional amenities desired.

Corporate Morale Events. What a great way to build team spirit! Bring your group down to Westport for a day together on a boat, whether it's a fishing trip or other activities.

Firecracker Cruise. Every July 4th we take at least one boat out in the harbor to watch the fireworks. It is absolutely stunning! Come down July 4th weekend and go fishing in the morning and then back out to watch a spectacular fireworks display in the evening.

Weddings! Yes, we have people get married out at sea all the time! It is very romantic, and on one of our big boats, there is room for a sizable group of people. We can make all sorts of special arrangements. Just ask! (Fishing is optional.)

Funerals. Our office is licenced to carry out burials at sea, and this is a regular service we provide. All of our captains are fully coast-guard certified and have many years of experience.

The entire ceremony takes one to two hours , depending on how far out to sea you go. Your captain will take you outside the harbor, then idle the vessel and allow plenty of time for parting words and scattering of ashes. There is ample room on our vessels so that the group may have privacy during this time.

After the boat returns, the office will provide a certificate suitable for framing, containing the date, time and GPS coordinates of the ceremony at sea. You need only contact our office and we will set your group up with boat and departure date and time, and make whatever other special arrangments you might want.

Shark Fishing. Have a bunch of friends who want to try something new and different? Reserve a boat and go hunting the hunters.

Custom Trips. If it involves people on a boat and it is not illegal, we can probably do it for you. Just give us a call and tell us what you're thinking.
